There are many websites that are helpful for former believers who have left the LDS Church, or members who are considering doing so –– or people who are simply curious about Mormonism.  Following are some of the sites I have found especially useful:

Recovery from Mormonism...
Includes more than 600 personal stories by ex-Mormons, plus many articles relating to problems with Mormon doctrines and practices, and helpful advice for those making the transition out of the church.  Founded by Eric Kettunen in 1995, it is the oldest and most extensive ex-Mormon website.

Richard Packham’s website...
A retired attorney, Richard Packham is a key figure in the Exmormon movement, and was first president of the Exmormon Foundation.  His website is a treasure trove of information about the LDS church, its doctrines, its history, and its problems.  His Introduction to Mormonism: To Those Who Are Investigating Mormonism –– What the Missionaries Won’t Tell You is available on his website in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Finnish, Russian, Italian, Danish, Chinese and Korean.

Exmormon Foundation...Information about activities of the Exmormon Foundation and articles about various aspects of Mormonism.  One of the chief activities of the Foundation is an annual conference held in Salt Lake City each October.  Reports of previous conferences and information about the upcoming one (including registration details) are found on the site.

Bob McCue’s website
...Thoughtful  observations about Mormonism and the Mormon  mindset.  Bob McCue, a Canadian attorney,  served five years as a bishop, and was serving as Stake Mission President when he finally decided to leave the church.  Two letters he wrote to Apostle Jeffrey Holland, now considered classic statements of the problems involved in Mormon doctrine, are included on the site.

Utah Lighthouse Ministry...
Established by Jerald and Sandra Tanner,  this is a Christian website devoted to exploring the differences between Mormonism and Biblical Christian doctrine.  The website offers a large number of publications on Mormonism and includes many online resources.

Post-Mormon Community
...”
A site for people who want to keep all the good that came into their lives through Mormonism, but be open about its misrepresentations...”   Emphasis is on forming and maintaining local groups of former Mormons who can meet to share the experiences of transitioning from Mormonism to a “post-Mormon” phase of their life.

New Order Mormons...”
New Order Mormons are those who no longer believe some (or much) of the dogma or doctrines of the LDS Church, but who want to maintain membership for cultural, social, or even spiritual reasons. New Order Mormons recognize both good and bad in the Church, and have determined that the Church does not have to be perfect in order to remain useful. New Order Mormons seek the middle way to be Mormon.”

Twenty Truths about Mormonism...This site is maintained by Dr. Jim Day, a former missionary to Australia, who gives detailed analysis of twenty specific problems he has found with Mormon doctrine.
